RON GERALD IS BACK ON THE SCENE WITH NEW R&B MUSIC!

Ron Gerald is a singer/songwriter and record producer from Queens, NY who began releasing music for free online in 2011 out of a sheer passion to share his songs with friends. However, the liberation of being his own artist managed to fuel his creative drive and expand his vision of himself as a songwriter. After spending years within the industry trying to be heard as a songwriter/producer, he finally saw that the best way to be heard was to perform his material himself. This decision enabled him to bring out the poetic lyrics, melodies and song structures that laid deep within without compromise. Since 2011, he has release 5 mixtapes (The Side Effects of Love and Ron Gerald Volume 1-4) that have been featured on sites such as KarenCivil.com, TheSmokingSection.com, WeKnowTheDJ.com and ThatNewJam.com to name a few.

After releasing Volume 4 in 2014, Ron ceased from releasing any new material online and detached himself completely from social media (only recently creating Twitter and Instagram accounts). His decision to retreat helped him remain void of distractions so to find peace within the solitude to enable him to focus intently on honing his craft and fine tuning the overarching vision for himself as an artist. Throughout this period he created hundreds of songs knowing that the next project he'd release would be something he'd want to use to expand his voice beyond his family and friendship circles.

Not being at all enamored by the celebrity that comes along with being an artist, Ron cuts out the artifice and gets to the art, by talking little and releasing few if any photos. To counter this distance he infuses his projects with numerous songs all packed with a lyrical and emotional depth detailing out his life experiences in ways no interview nor tweet could match. His new song entitled "Will Thru" off of his upcoming project was just released on May 9th, 2018 via SoundCloud and has racked up about 9,000 plays and counting. This quick accumulation of plays in a relatively short amount of time managed to have him chart at #25 on SoundCloud's New&Hot chart for R&B. The song speaks to a man's major source of strength being that of his woman. So much so to where even if they encounter internal difficulties he still relies on her energy to help build him back up to fight back against negativity that the world has thrown. It's an elaborated take on the quote "behind every strong man is a strong woman".

Having written, produced, performed and engineered all of his work to date out of his home studio, Ron's music is only a pure extension of the man himself.
